Fallingwater , a property entrusted to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy,designatedas a National HistoricLandmarkand inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is seekinga full-timeBarista fortheFallingwaterCafe’. Reporting tothe Executive Chef, the Barista supports daily Fallingwater Café operations by providing excellent customer service, curating espresso beverages, andmaintainingthe highest standards of cleanliness and presentation of items offered in the Café. Job Duties Alwaysprovides exceptional and welcoming customer service, andexhibitsprofessionalism in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Craftsand serves espresso beverages that meet the established quality and presentation standards.Followsrecipes, serving sizes, andmaintainsconsistency. Preparesthe front-of-house for daily operations, including stocking, organizing, andmaintainingservice areas. Maintainsthe Fallingwater Café’s grab and go and merchandise offerings, which includes restocking and upholding presentation standards. Opensand closes the Cafe’ according to established procedures. Ensures readiness forservice, andcompletes end of shift cleaning and closing duties. Operatesthe POS system, processes transactions, and properly applies gift cards, vouchers, and applicable discounts for guests, volunteers, and employees. Follows policies and procedures for cash handling and balances inPOSsystem. MonitorsCafé inventory levels and communicates restocking needs to supervisors. Maintainscleanliness and organization of all Fallingwater Cafe’ spaces, equipment, and storage areas throughout the shift. Followsall food safety, sanitation, and temperature control guidelines. Assistswith receiving, rotating, and storing products in the Fallingwater Café using proper inventory practices. Supportsthe Conservancy’s cost containment and sustainability efforts, as applicable. Collaborateswith Kitchen and Café staff to support smooth daily operations. Performsadditionalduties and responsibilities as needed. Ability to work with dangerousequipment;including knives, slicers, and ovens. Frequent bending and stooping. Work in a hot environment,sometimes withwith/near open flame. Qualifications Prior barista experience in a coffee shop or café is preferred. Strong time management, attention todetailand consistency standards. Prior customer service experience is preferred. Knowledge of food safety, storage, sanitation practices, and government regulations preferred. Must be able to workearlymornings, weekends and holidays and be flexible with schedule and hours. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work efficiently in a structured environmentrequired.
