Defined Contribution Product Analyst

Pacific Life is seeking a Product Analyst to join our Institutional Division in Newport Beach, CA; Omaha, NE; or Charlotte, NC. This on‑site role supports the growth and long‑term success of our defined contribution (DC) financial products by enhancing and automating product‑related analytics and operational processes, contributing to new product development, and acting as a liaison among product teams, enterprise functions, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Financial Product Analytics (65%) – Execute daily operational duties for DC and DCLI products during the accumulation phase; provide insight for assumption development and actuarial modeling; develop dashboards and ad‑hoc analyses for stakeholders; partner with Delivery Acceleration, Compliance, Operations, and Technology to ensure effective product operations. DC Financial Product Development, Implementation, & Stakeholder Engagement (25%) – Support product development, execution, and implementation; collaborate with Delivery Acceleration, Legal, Marketing, Finance, and Pricing to prioritize initiatives; ensure solutions meet customer needs, business objectives, and compliance; create technical specifications and perform user‑acceptance testing for administrative and illustration systems. DC Market Development (10%) – Collaborate with the DC team and National Markets to conduct market research and stay abreast of industry trends; support cost‑benefit analyses for new product development; provide insights for research, marketing, distribution, and pricing. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in product and/or operations roles focused on DC financial products (e.g., stable value). Proficiency with Excel (including VBA), PowerBI, CoPilot, and related analytic tools. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; adept at interpreting complex data, identifying anomalies, and deriving actionable insights. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to senior audiences and influence decision‑making. Ready to travel up to 25% of the time across the U.S. for client meetings and industry events. Ability to design future‑state operating models, develop implementation roadmaps, and adapt to changing demands.
