DESCRIPTION OF WORK This role focuses on helping residents with daily care needs in a safe and respectful environment. As a part-time Nurse Aide, you will perform the following duties: * Daily Care: Support residents with tasks such as bathing, grooming, feeding, mobility, and other daily needs based on their care plans * Safety Measures: Apply basic safety devices and report hazards, unusual behavior, and equipment issues to nursing staff * Resident Observation: Watch for changes in resident condition and share important information with professional staff * Room Maintenance: Keep resident rooms clean and organized and assist with linen changes and supply restocking * Resident Transport: Escort and move residents safely to appointments, activities, and other locations * Record Keeping: Document care and services accurately to meet state and facility requirements Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: * Part-time employment, 8 hours per day, 20 hours per week * Work hours will be determined from the following shifts, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work rotating days and weekends. * 1st shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) * 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM) * 3rd shift (11:15 PM to 7:45 AM) * You will be required to work every other weekend. * Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. * Hourly Rate: In some cases, the starting hourly rate may be non-negotiable. * DMVA is pleased to announce the launch of a Nursing Referral Program, promoting the hiring and retention of nursing staff at Pennsylvania's veterans homes. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: * Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or * Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents. * This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry. Additional Requirement: * You must be able to perform essential job functions.
