Physical Therapist - School Setting in Defuniak Springs, FL

Your expertise as a Physical Therapist will be instrumental in developing and implementing interventions that empower students to access their education safely and successfully. You will also provide critical supervision and guidance to a Physical Therapist Assistant, ensuring continuity and quality of care.


Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid, active Physical Therapist license
• Experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations for school PT services
• Previous supervision of PTAs beneficial
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
• Deliver direct therapy services and consult with staff to support student progress
• Supervise and mentor a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
• Engage with multidisciplinary teams across multiple campuses to promote best outcomes
