Description What You Will Do

• Execute routine and advanced clinical laboratory testssuch as chemistry, hematology, and immunologyadhering to established protocols.
• Evaluate results for accuracy, troubleshoot any discrepancies, and conduct preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory instruments.
• Assist with specimen collection and prepare samples for testing as required.
• Thoroughly document all procedures, support the training of new staff or students, and maintain lab quality standards.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment while adhering to regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or a related allied health field plus preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Maintain current certification throughout your employment.
