Our client, a charter school in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a Community Associate to lead community-based outreach efforts to build strong relationships, increase school visibility, and support the achievement of annual student application goals. This role is highly field-based, requiring approximately 80% of time in the community and 20% in the office for administrative work and team collaboration. Typical Schedule Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm (M-W Onsite, Th-F Remote). Flexibility to work events outside of normal hours and on weekend. On Event Days, hours are typically 10:00am-6:00pm Pay Rate $20-21/hour Contracted position to cover maternity leave until January 2027 Responsibilities Establish and maintain strong relationships with daycare centers, community-based organizations, and local partners Represent Ascend at community events, fairs, and information sessions to promote school offerings Identify new partnership opportunities to expand outreach and deepen community presence Track, analyze, and interpret recruitment and outreach data to inform strategy and improve outcomes Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to drive student recruitment and enrollment Collaborate with internal teams to align messaging, outreach efforts, and enrollment goals Support the achievement of annual application and enrollment targets Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, partnerships, and engagement metrics Required Qualifications Bilingual preferred - Spanish or Creole/Haitian 2-3 years of professional experience, preferably in student recruitment, enrollment, or community engagement within charter schools Strong knowledge of the New York City education landscape Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with diverse community stakeholders Experience using data to inform strategy and decision-making Highly self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Willingness to spend the majority of time working in the field Opportunity Awaits. #J-18808-Ljbffr Solomon Page
