Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing expert occupational therapy services within a supportive school setting. This contract opportunity allows you to collaborate with dedicated educators and families to help students reach their greatest potential by addressing a variety of physical, sensory, and cognitive barriers to learning and participation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
- Ability to manage a caseload and conduct assessments independently
- Compassion and dedication to supporting children with diverse needs
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ abilities and needs through observations and standardized tests
- Develop and implement targeted intervention plans in accordance with students’ IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure coordinated support
- Provide direct therapy services individually or in groups, supporting academic access and life skills
- Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress, and communications
- Support professional development of staff by sharing OT strategies and insights
- Participate in meetings and contribute your expertise to multidisciplinary teams
