CompensationHourly Wage: $37.00 - $43.50, depending on experience, with an additional $2.75 per hour for Night Shift Differential.
Work ScheduleFull-Time Nights: 6 PM - 6 AM; 72 hours per pay period.

The Registered Nurse will employ the nursing process to plan and deliver direct care to assigned residents. Responsibilities include overseeing shift routines within the designated nursing unit and evaluating the activities of staff members as the designated leader, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. The nurse may also take on "Building Charge" duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or their designee.
Qualifications- Current Registered Nurse license in Colorado
- Current CPR Certification
- Completion of required Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
- Experience in long-term care is preferred
- Strong problem-solving abilities and independent judgment
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Effective communication with staff, families, and external agencies
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Customer service-oriented with knowledge of effective service techniques
- Clinical competence in performing physical and cognitive assessments
- Proficient in using computers and electronic devices for documentation and timekeeping
- Team player with a collaborative spirit
- Understanding of Antibiotic Stewardship, Infection Prevention, and OSHA guidelines
The Registered Nurse will:
- Provide leadership and direction within the assigned unit
- Model positive communication with nursing assistants, interdisciplinary teams, and families
- Conduct rounds to assess residents' physical and psychosocial well-being
- Assign tasks to staff to meet resident needs effectively
- Ensure compliance with shift assignments
- Participate in scheduled nurses' meetings
- Address performance issues among staff as necessary
- Report any occupational exposures in line with facility policies
- Bring forward suggestions for improvement to leadership
- Maintain competence in all required skills
- Ensure residents are treated with respect and dignity
- Report any suspected abuse or neglect immediately
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Document resident responses and report any concerns to physicians
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Communicate changes in resident conditions to families and representatives
- Follow emergency protocols as needed
- Contribute to resident care plans and evaluations
- Perform routine charting in accordance with policies
- Accurately transcribe physician orders and communicate with other departments
- Document all incidents involving residents, visitors, and staff
- Conduct ongoing assessments and document findings as required
- Attend scheduled nurses' meetings
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Fulfill continuing education requirements
- Participate in employee evaluations and staffing recommendations
- Foster positive inter-departmental relationships
- Complete required in-services and online training modules
Engage in various committees and meetings to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration.

Licenses & Certifications- Required: Registered Nurse License
