Senior Research Technologist - Mills Lab

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Research Technologist to join a translational research laboratory focused on neuroimmunology, biomarker discovery, and development of advanced immunologic assays. The individual in this role will support ongoing research studies through hands-on laboratory work, experimental organization, data analysis, and maintenance of accurate laboratory records.The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, intellectually curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced research environment that bridges basic science and clinical applications.Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and advanced laboratory procedures in support of research studies and assay developmentPrepare reagents, buffers, samples, and laboratory materialsConduct pipetting-intensive experiments and 96-well plate-based assays with precision and consistencyMaintain accurate and organized laboratory notebooks and experimental recordsAssist with optimization, validation, and troubleshooting of laboratory assaysProcess and organize biological specimens according to laboratory protocolsAnalyze and organize experimental data using Excel, RStudio, or related software toolsAssist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining laboratory organizationCollaborate with laboratory staff, trainees, and investigators on ongoing projectsFollow all laboratory safety, biosafety, and quality control proceduresDesired CharacteristicsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesAbility to learn new techniques quicklyReliable, organized, and self-motivatedStrong communication skillsInterest in translational medicine, immunology, or biomarker researchEnvironmentThis position involves substantial hands-on laboratory work and interaction with multidisciplinary research teams in a collaborative academic medical center environment.
