Base pay range $60.00/hr - $65.00/hr Title : Release Train Engineer (RTE) Location: Washington, DC Duration: 12 Months Job Description Client is on the lookout for an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to help lead a major Agile transformation initiative in Washington, DC. As a key player in this journey, you’ll act as a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART), guiding multiple Agile teams to deliver real value with consistency and alignment to enterprise goals. What You’ll Be Doing Drive the preparation of the ART backlog and event logistics Facilitate in-person, two-day PI Planning events Ensure every plan aligns with enterprise strategy and OKRs PI Execution Support Track and analyze ART flow metrics—velocity, predictability, cycle time Champion DevOps and continuous delivery practices Coordinate backlog refinement and cross-ART collaboration Help Business Owners define and deliver business value Coaching the ART Provide hands-on guidance to Scrum Masters, Product Managers, Architects, and Business Owners Use powerful questions to inspire team growth and self-improvement Lead ART-level events while staying true to SAFe principles Implement pull systems and monitor flow metrics Lead value stream mapping sessions and reduce cross-team dependencies Always look for ways to increase the flow of value Driving Relentless Improvement Facilitate TeamHealth assessments and Inspect & Adapt events Advocate for built-in quality and align with Lean-Agile transformation efforts Living Servant Leadership Nurture a culture of openness, empathy, and shared leadership Empower teams to make decisions and solve problems Represent the ART with confidence and clarity, even in front of large audiences Must-Have Certifications SAFe Release Train Engineer 6.0 Scaled Agile Practice Consultant 6.0 AgilityInsights Facilitator Certification Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Information Technology Industries Rail Transportation #J-18808-Ljbffr Sira Consulting, an Inc 5000 company
