Payroll, Student Assistant

Job Description The Payroll Department is seeking a qualified student worker to assist with payroll processes. Duties and Responsibilities Verifying information, time cards, additional hours, contracts, and deductions. Entering data into the computer. Checking that payroll has run correctly and all deductions have been applied post‐run. Folding and stuffing checks and direct deposits with a folding machine. Grouping departmental, US Mail, and payroll checks together. Passing out payroll checks. Answering paycheck‑related questions. Sorting and filing time cards and other papers as needed. Answering phones and opening mail. Retrieving necessary documents for audits. Processing billing, including paying bills online and preparing check requests. Sorting and filing as needed. Assisting with all other duties as required. Preferred Schedule Afternoons; Monday – Thursday Wage Range $16.90–17.30 #J-18808-Ljbffr
