Registered Nurse (RN)

The Registered Nurse delivers coordinated nursing care to patients or assigned groups of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. This role involves supervising and directing various levels of assigned nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines, and utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion.

Essential Functions

• Collects relevant data related to the patient's health or situation.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
• Develops a care plan with prescribed interventions to achieve targeted outcomes.
• Implements the care plan, coordinating delivery of care while promoting a safe and healthy environment.
• Evaluates progress towards achieving patient outcomes.
• Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Provides education to patients and families, facilitating learning opportunities.
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegates responsibilities appropriately to healthcare team members.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience in an acute care facility preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor is required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from an approved vendor is required.

Organizational Requirements

Commitment to the safety and well-being of patients and associates is essential. Associates are required to receive all necessary vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter.
