Senior Tax Accountant

Compensation $85,000 – $95,000 base (commensurate with experience). Bonus opportunity available. Long‑term growth and partnership potential. Location & Employment Sanford, FL. In‑Office | Full‑Time. About Our Client Our client is a well‑established, locally rooted CPA firm with decades of success serving individuals, businesses, and nonprofits. What You’ll Be Doing Prepare and review federal and state tax returns including 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S, and 990. Review financial statements and accounting records for tax preparation. Reconcile business accounts including bank statements, credit cards, and fixed assets. Serve as a key liaison between partners and clients. Perform tax research and provide well‑reasoned conclusions. Assist with mentoring and supporting junior staff as needed. What Our Client Is Looking For 5+ years of tax experience within a CPA firm environment. Strong experience preparing complex individual and business returns. CPA or EA preferred (not required). Proficiency with QuickBooks. Experience with Thomson Reuters UltraTax or similar tax software. Solid understanding of payroll, depreciation, A/P, and A/R. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines. Professional communication and client‑service mindset.
