Finance Manager

Finance Manager Position Overview: The Finance Manager plays a critical role in driving financial performance and supporting strategic initiatives across the organization. This position is responsible for financial reporting, planning, and analysis, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, and partnering with business leaders to optimize results. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and corporate guidelines Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles Provide variance analysis and actionable insights to senior leadership Partner with business unit leaders to support strategic planning and decision-making Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements Support external and internal audit processes Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization across finance functions Manage and develop finance and accounting team members Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; MBA or CPA strongly preferred 6+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, preferably within a corporate environment Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls (SOX experience preferred) Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling Core Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and presentation skills with executive-level stakeholders Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive business outcomes High attention to detail and organizational skills Proven leadership and team development capabilities Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
