Maintenance Sales Representative San Francisco Bay Area | Full-Time | Outside Sales | Hunter Role Are you a true hunter who thrives on building business from the ground up? We’re partnering with a leading commercial HVAC services organization seeking a driven Maintenance Sales Representative to grow its preventative maintenance contract portfolio throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. This is not an account management position. The ideal candidate enjoys prospecting, opening doors, building relationships, and closing new business. What You’ll Do: Prospect and develop new commercial accounts through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and job walks. Identify, target, and close new HVAC Preventive Maintenance (PM) agreements with commercial property owners, facility managers, and building engineers. Conduct site assessments and attend job walks to scope maintenance opportunities. Prepare and present customized maintenance proposals, repair quotes, and service agreements. Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately track activity within a CRM system. Partner closely with operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to service delivery. Uncover additional opportunities for repairs, retrofits, and emergency service work within new accounts. What Success Looks Like: In your first year, you’ll be expected to: Generate at least $250,000 in new preventive maintenance contract sales Build and maintain a healthy pipeline with consistent prospecting activity Close new commercial maintenance agreements on a regular basis Develop relationships that lead to long‑term partnerships and referral opportunities What We’re Looking For: Required Qualifications: 5+ years of B2B outside sales experience with a proven history of hunting and closing new business Experience selling service contracts, maintenance agreements, or mechanical/facilities services strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed revenue targets, preferably $200K+ annually Strong cold‑calling, prospecting, and relationship‑building skills Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities Self‑motivated and capable of managing a territory independently Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with HVAC systems, commercial mechanical services, or building operations Existing relationships with Bay Area facility managers, property managers, or building engineers Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience Compensation & Benefits: Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission Monthly commission payouts Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Paid vacation, sick time, and company holidays Quarterly profit sharing based on company performance Mileage reimbursement or vehicle allowance
