Job Description UW Medical Center - Montlake's Electrophysiology (EP) Lab has an outstanding opportunity for a REGISTERED NURSE (RN) . WORK SCHEDULE 100% FTE, 40 hours/weekly Days, Mon-Fri DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) Lab at UW Medical Center – Montlake is a highly specialized procedural area providing advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular care for adult patients with complex cardiac arrhythmias. As a regional referral center and part of a nationally recognized academic medical center, the UW EP Lab performs a broad range of procedures including implanted devices and cardiac ablations. The EP Lab team works collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to deliver safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Our team is one of the most experienced in the country in managing the risk of complex interventions You will have access to the newest, least invasive therapies, unavailable at any other site in the region, including those not yet offered to the public Work as part of a dynamic, comprehensive care team Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve Opportunity to provide career growth PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Direct and indirect patient care in EP Lab procedures Ongoing care of procedural patients, monitoring and circulating diagnostic EP studies, ablations, and device insertion procedures Participate in performance improvement and CQI activities within the department REQUIREMENTS Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington At least 2 years of acute care cardiac telemetry experience Previous EP Lab, Cath Lab, or ICU experience preferred Current BLS & ACLS Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-MONTLAKE: UW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
