Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 per year A bit about us: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Preparer to join our accounting and tax team. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, gathering and analyzing financial information, and ensuring tax filings are accurate, complete, and submitted on time. Collect, organize, and review client financial documents and tax information. Identify potential deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities. Review tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable tax laws. Research tax issues and assist with resolving tax-related questions. Communicate with clients to obtain missing information and clarify financial or tax-related matters. Assist with tax planning and projections as needed. Respond to notices and correspondence from the IRS and state taxing authorities. Maintain organized and accurate client files and documentation. Stay current on changes to federal and state tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements. Meet established deadlines during tax season and throughout the year. Work collaboratively with accountants, CPAs, and other members of the tax team. Qualifications: 2+ years of experience preparing individual and/or business tax returns preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred, but relevant experience may be considered. Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations. Experience with tax preparation software such as UltraTax, ProSeries, Lacerte, Drake, CCH Axcess, or similar platforms is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. Interested in hearing more?
