Job Summary
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience for a position in a Level 1 Trauma Hospital. The RN will provide specialized care to high-acuity patients, including ventilated and pulmonary patients, across a progressive care unit. This role involves managing complex clinical situations, interpreting dysrhythmias, and providing respiratory and neurological support.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS, NIHSS; Education: 2 years of experience required with strong ventilator experience; Location requirements: experience in MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry; and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience, BLS certification, NIHSS certification, and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Responsibilities include managing ventilated patients, performing feeding tube care, administering blood products, managing cardiac drips, interpreting ABGs, and adhering to isolation precautions.
• Additional qualifications: experience with managing ports, PICC lines, central lines, and high acuity respiratory care, including BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula devices.
• Professional topics include management of CVA, traumatic brain injury, and advanced respiratory procedures such as endobronchial valves and ventilator management.
• The candidate must be willing to float within scope as needed and adhere to facility policies on days off and schedule requests.
