Job Opportunity: Packaging Engineer (CPG – Home Care Products)Job Type & Role: Contract – Packaging Engineer (CPG – Home Care Products) Location: Parsippany, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) Duration: 12–18 Month Contract (Potential Extension & Full-Time Conversion) Pay Rate: $50- $60/hrAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Packaging Engineer to support a portfolio of leading Home Care and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) brands, including Air Wick, Woolite, Resolve, Spray 'n Wash, Easy-Off, Lime-A-Way, D-Con, Rid-X, Glass Plus, and Old English.This is an exciting opportunity to work on packaging development and commercialization projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. You'll partner with R&D, Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, Marketing, and external manufacturing partners to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable packaging solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport packaging design and development from concept through commercialization.Collaborate with Packaging, R&D, Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, Marketing, and external manufacturing partners.Ensure packaging meets performance, quality, cost, manufacturability, and sustainability requirements.Conduct packaging evaluations, validation, compatibility testing, and performance analysis.Prepare packaging specifications, BOMs, pallet patterns, and maintain documentation in internal systems.Support projects focused on innovation, sustainability, cost savings, quality improvements, and e-commerce packaging.Participate in plant trials, packaging troubleshooting, and manufacturing support (up to 20% travel).Analyze packaging performance across filling, sealing, labeling, coding, packing, palletizing, and distribution processes.Prepare project documentation, presentations, and status updates for cross-functional stakeholders.Manage multiple packaging projects while maintaining timelines using project management tools.
