Community Associate
The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is the nation's oldest and largest public housing authority with more than 177,000 apartments and over 370,000 residents. NYCHA's mission is to provide quality housing for New Yorkers that is sustainable, inclusive, and safe, while fostering opportunities for economic mobility. NYCHA also administers a citywide Section 8 leased housing program that serves over 200,000 tenants. The Community Associate for the Lead Hazard Control Department (Moveouts) unit's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Provide and improve community services by performing liaison function including, improving communication between City agencies, community organizations and groups, and the individuals they represent and service. Respond to vendors' questions, help with daily issues and provide guidance on problems that might arise. Perform daily data entry tasks in Maximo. Review Move-Out reports for HPD compliance. Prepare and maintain records, written reports, daily and monthly statistics. Provide administrative support to the unit as appropriate; coordinate meeting schedules and other related tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualification Requirements 1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or 2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.

1. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. 2. Advanced Maximo skills. 3. Intermediate Excel skills. 4. Excellent & Effective communication skills. 5. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Outlook. 6. Intermediate skills Microsoft Office applications.
