Bookkeeper/ Senior Accountant Location: Westminster, CO (Onsite) Schedule: Hybrid Work Schedule, Monday–Friday Salary: $85k-$95k Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, takes ownership of the month-end close process, and thrives in a fast-paced organization. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, preparing financial statements, supporting audits, and partnering with leadership to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & General Accounting of Senior Accountant: Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities. Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Analyze financial results and investigate account variances. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and supporting schedules. Month-End Close & Analysis for Senior Accountant: Lead assigned month-end close responsibilities to ensure reporting deadlines are met. Prepare account reconciliations and supporting documentation. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting. Develop financial analyses to support operational and strategic decision-making. Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls. Compliance & Audit for Senior Accountant: Support annual financial audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests. Assist with tax preparation by compiling documentation for external CPA firms. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, GAAP, and internal controls. Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation. Collaboration Partner with operations and department leaders to support financial reporting and business initiatives. Assist with special projects, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives. Mentor junior accounting staff as needed and provide support across the accounting team. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) preferred. CPA or CPA-track is a plus. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
