Purchasing Coordinator

Our client, a global automotive manufacturing supplier , is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator/Supply Chain Specialist to join their team. As a Purchasing Coordinator/Supply Chain Specialist, you will be part of the Purchasing/Supply Chain Department supporting internal operations teams and external supplier partners . The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail , which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Purchasing Coordinator / Supply Chain Specialist
Location: Frankfort, IN
Pay Range: $53,000 – $60,000

What’s the Job?

• Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers, managing production, quality, and commercial concerns
• Issue RFQs and ECNs, review supplier pricing, and validate costs against internal cost models
• Manage supplier relationships, drive cost reduction initiatives (Kaizen, VA/VE), and support continuous improvement
• Coordinate with internal teams on new model launches, tooling schedules, and production requirements
• Monitor supplier performance, track pricing changes, and lead meetings to resolve supply chain issues

What’s Needed?

• 1+ year of experience in purchasing, supply chain, sales, or account management
• Strong analytical and math skills to evaluate cost structures and supplier pricing
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and communication tools (Teams, etc.)
• Ability to travel up to 25% and effectively manage supplier relationships
