Registered Nurse (RN)

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care, performs clinical assessments, coordinates care, educates patients and families, and collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. This role requires strong clinical judgment, clear communication, emotional resilience, and the ability to prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The RN may work in inpatient, outpatient, specialty, hospice, home health, dialysis, rehabilitation, pediatric, or senior care settings.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with clinical standards, care plans, and provider orders.
• Assess patient conditions, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team.
• Administer medications and treatments within scope of license and organizational policy.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, discharge instructions, and ongoing treatment needs.
• Prioritize multiple patient needs while maintaining safety, compassion, and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, social workers, CNAs, MAs, and other care team members.
• Respond calmly and appropriately to patient deterioration, family concerns, conflicts, or urgent care situations.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR while following privacy, compliance, infection control, and safety standards.
• Support a positive patient experience through professionalism, empathy, and clear communication.
• Demonstrate accountability for attendance, scheduling, documentation, handoffs, and follow-through.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the applicable state, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, or specialty certifications may be required depending on the care setting.

Experience

• Prior nursing experience preferred.
• New graduate candidates may be considered depending on the organization and care setting.

• Ability to comply with clinical, safety, privacy, and regulatory standards.
• Ability to work assigned shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, or rotating schedules.
