Endoscopy Technologist Responsibilities:

• Performs direct and indirect patient care tasks.
• Assists with admissions, discharges and transfers of patients within the endoscopy suite, holding, and recovery areas.
• Orients patients and significant others to the unit.
• Maintains environment by cleaning and storing equipment, disposing of linens, and stocking supplies.
• Keeps patient areas clear of trash and clutter, cleans, disinfects and sterilizes endoscopy equipment and stretchers.
• On-call, weekend and perform other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrates interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
• Must have computer, written and verbal communication skills appropriate to the position.
• Show strong organizational, customer service, time management, administrative, and clerical skills.

Certification:

• Required – BLS (Basic Life Support)

Education:

• Required – High School or Equivalent

Experience:

• Preferred – 1 year – Related field

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 6:30AM -5:00PM

Shift: Shift 1

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: Occasional

On Call: Yes
