Project Manager, ConstructionThe Project Manager, Construction supports the Director of Construction and Design in executing capital construction and renovation projects across Tryon Medical Partners. This role serves as the day-to-day lead on capital construction and renovation projects, including medical office builds, advanced diagnostics buildouts, and Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) projects. Manage each project from feasibility and design through permitting, construction, and close-out, keeping scope, schedule, and budget on track throughout.Primary Job ResponsibilitiesManage assigned projects end-to-end: scope, schedule, budget, and milestonesGuide projects through feasibility, design development, permitting, construction, commissioning, and close-outServe as primary contact for architects, engineers, general contractors, and specialty consultants, and monitor their performance against schedule, budget, and qualityReview and process change orders, pay applications, and invoices, and prepare budget status reports and forecastsKeep projects compliant with applicable building codes and safety standards, partnering with the clinical team on healthcare-specific and regulatory requirementsCoordinate with Clinical, Operations, IT, Facilities, Procurement, and Finance to keep projects aligned with organizational needsIdentify risks and issues early, and escalate to the Director with recommended solutionOn-site visits to active construction projects and periodic travel within the Charlotte region.Other tasks as assigned.Education and Experience5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects end-to-end, including ground-up and/or renovation workStrong command of the design and permitting process, from feasibility through construction documentsProven track record keeping multiple concurrent projects on schedule and under budgetBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design or a related fieldStrong vendor and general contractor management, contract administration, and budget-tracking skillsProficiency with project management and scheduling toolsPreferredHealthcare, medical office, or other regulated-environment construction experiencePMP, LEED AP, and/or Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC)Experience with multi-site or growing organizationsPhysical RequirementsPrimarily office-based with frequent on-site visits to active construction projectsPeriodic travel within the Charlotte region and surrounding markets as neededAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environmentWork consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pullingMust be able to lift and support weight of 35 poundsAbility to concentrate on detailsUse of computers for long periods of time
