Supervisor

Supervisor IS (Industrial Services) Thompson Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for a Supervisor IS (Industrial Services) to work at a customer location and join their safety-conscious team. This role is responsible for leading two or more crews, planning, organizing, and coordinating the daily operations of the service line crew. The supervisor ensures proper operation of equipment, drives operational efficiencies, and maintains accurate documentation. They also enforce company policies, maintain customer relations, and represent Thompson Industrial in building continuous working relationships with clients. Key Responsibilities Instructs, provides feedback, and directs the crew to complete work in accordance with client requirements and company policies. Enforces company employee policies and may remove employees from a job when required. Schedules jobs and crews, and dispatches crews based on nightly and weekend calls. Acts as Operations Manager or Branch Manager when requested. Reviews work orders, ensuring all required equipment is available and operational before starting the job. Inspects equipment and general work areas, correcting deficiencies that could cause accidents, injuries, or loss of productivity. Informs clients of job status and client requirements as needed. Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment. Completes all appropriate paperwork, including service receipts, and submits them to designated management. Trains technicians and operators on‑the‑job in equipment operation, service line processes, and necessary paperwork. Operates all necessary equipment in the service line (chemical, hydro‑blasting, painting, blasting, and vacuum) in accordance with operation training and safety procedures. Calculates load weights for manifest completion. Issues manifests correctly per waste stream, transporter, TSDF, and PO. Maintains a filing system for issued and returned manifests. Assists drivers with Win Web ticket entries as necessary. Schedules pit loads at TSDFs and coordinates roll‑off logistics, including moves, re‑spots, and deliveries. Conducts weekly inspections and works with Valero personnel to support roll‑off needs. Inspects roll‑offs and coordinates with vacuum truck supervisor for water and oil removal. Performs job walks. Performs other duties as assigned. Skills and Experience Minimum five years of experience within the industrial cleaning industry; prior supervisory experience preferred. RCRA certificates. Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and ability in people management. Strong knowledge of operating equipment used in the service line. Ability to comprehend English, written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel; Microsoft Access is a plus. Experience with Win Web. Attention to detail and highly organized. Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting equipment. Current certification as an authorized company driver.
