Radiation Therapist Schedule
Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm Occasional 8a - 4:30pm rotation No weekends or holidays!
Radiation Therapist Job Summary
The Radiation Therapist will assist with the daily patient flow of the Radiation Oncology clinical location, evaluate/develop new process for patient care, and assisting with other activities to improve Radiation Oncology operations. According to established procedures, assists physicians by treating patients with prescribed doses of ionizing radiation supplied and controlled through specialized radiation equipment. In doing so, prepares treatment room, explains procedures to patients, positions patients and administers treatments. Monitors patients during therapy sessions in order to ensure patients' comfort and to observe changes in patients' condition. Simulates patient treatment according to the treatment plan and delivers prescribed doses of ionizing radiation supplied and controlled through specialized radiation equipment. Designs and constructs custom treatment devices for individual patients.
Radiation Therapist Qualifications
Must hold an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field Current Radiation Therapy license issued by IEMA Department of Nuclear Safety and registry or registry eligible with ARRT within 6 months of hire. BLS/CPR certification through the AHA We will invest in you on day one! Candidates with 5+ years of direct experience will receive 24 hours of Vacation and Holiday time that will be available for use starting on your first day!
