Forklift OperatorOur client, Industrial Manufacturing is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the Operations team supporting production and shipping/receiving activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, a focus on quality, and the drive to stay organized and accurate—so you can keep materials moving smoothly and help production stay on schedule.Location: Itasca, ILPay Range: $22.11Shift: 1pm - 9:30pm & 5am-1:30pmWhat's the Job?Comply with established job safety practices, policies, and procedures, including PPE requirements (ZES/PIT/PED safety as specified in the plant).Read factory work orders and various shipping and/or receiving papers to understand customer requirements and process information accurately.Monitor conveyor take-off lines by removing units from the lines and loading units into trailers and/or placing units in storage areas.Check load tags and unit counts to verify accuracy, and inspect finished units during loading to ensure they are free from handling damage and that straps are intact.Complete tally sheets, maintain well organized paperwork, generate accurate bills of lading, deliver in-process/sheet units to production areas as required, and keep work/storage areas clean and organized.What's Needed?Demonstrates success in safety attendance, quality of work, and following procedures.Certified ability to safely operate a fork lift truck.Ability to accurately use and read measuring devices.Basic knowledge of general computer operation.Willingness to learn, follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as part of a team; HS Diploma or equivalent is preferred.What's in it for me?Work in a safety-focused environment where procedures and PPE are taken seriously.Be part of a team that supports production by keeping shipping and receiving operations accurate and efficient.Use your attention to detail to verify counts, tags, and unit condition—making a direct impact on quality.Build consistency by maintaining organized paperwork, inventories, and clean work areas.Opportunity to grow your skills in reading work orders, processing shipping documents, and supporting daily operations.Upon completion of waiting period associates are eligible for:Medical and Prescription Drug PlansDental PlanSupplemental Life InsuranceShort Term Disability Insurance401(k)If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
