Manufacturing Specialist

This role supports manufacturing needs, monitors and maintains efficient manufacturing processes and workflow for Machining & Assembly.

Support manufacturing requirements from routing editing, tooling purchased.

Execute all standard operating procedures as they pertain to manufacturing related duties.

Perform a sequence of operations, consistently maintaining the performance level set for quality and quantity.

Work as a team member to uphold and maintain departmental standards such as quality and on-time delivery.

Participate in management meetings to understand tooling order requirements.

Maintain a safe and tidy work environment according to guidelines and standards.

Identify ways to reduce production costs through new process equipment and equipment justification to improve performance.

New parts routings creation and routings update.

Monitor and record process performance metrics (cycle time, reject, scrap, downtime) and communicate improvements or deviations to engineering.

Assist in maintaining and following work instructions, control plans, and set up documentation to ensure consistent and repeatable operations.

Provide feedback on tooling, fixturing, and setups to improve process efficiency, cycle time, and overall productivity.

Support implementation of digital manufacturing tools (data collection systems, machine monitoring) to enhance visibility and process performance.

Provide process capability, to improve the process and monitor and measure progress to target.

Experience setting up and operating CNC machines with understanding of cutting tool selection and application.

Advanced blueprint reading skills and GD&T understanding.

Developed mechanical reasoning and logical troubleshooting skills.

Degree/Diploma from an accredited post-secondary program or equivalent practical experience.

Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to perform under pressure, prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.

Flexible, team-player with strong communication skills.
