Do you take pride in perfectly prepared steel?If you thrive on precision and clean, consistent finishes, Hamilton Tanks needs your expertise. In this role, you will use abrasive blasting media to remove scale, paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt from steel tanks and create the specified surface profile. You will confirm the final finish meets quality requirements and work closely with our Shop Supervisor.What you will tacklePre-clean parts to remove grease and dirtLoad the correct grade of sand, grit, or steel shot into hoppersStart up, inspect, and maintain blasting equipment; set and regulate pressures and media flowDirect blast nozzles for effective removal; supplement with scrapers, brushes, or abrasive papers as neededReview finished surfaces against quality specifications before moving to coatingsHow you will succeedStand comfortably for more than 8 hoursLift, carry, push, and pull 50 lbs as requiredNavigate multiple walking surfaces (gravel, concrete, asphalt)Twist, bend, and reach (forward and overhead) throughout the shiftWear respiratory protection for over 4 hours per dayYour backgroundHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious abrasive blasting or related experience preferredKnowledge of field concepts, practices, and procedures, or a strong willingness to train on additional equipment and processesWorking knowledge of manual sand and grit blasting machines, materials, and processesComfort with hand tools (chipping hammer, wire brush) and power tools (grinder, belt sander, palm sander)Track record of safe work practicesVisual acuity and 70-degree peripheral perceptionTeam and growthYou will report directly to the Shop Supervisor and partner with fabrication and coatings to keep projects moving on schedule.Compensation and benefitsMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k)Paid time off (PTO)Pre-employmentAbility to pass background check, drug test, fit for duty test, and Respirator Fit Test (Pulmonary Function Test) #J-18808-Ljbffr Torrey Holistics
