• ED Volume: 46,000
• 42-bed Emergency Department
• 8–10 hour Physician shifts
• Epic EMR
• Level III Trauma Center
• Primary Stroke Center and STEMI Receiving Center
• 15–22% admission rate
• Strong specialty support with 24/7 in-house intensivists, hospitalists, OB hospitalists, CRNAs, and tele-interpreters
• Pediatric patients comprise approximately 6–10% of ED volume

You’ll join a collaborative Emergency Medicine team practicing in a high-acuity community hospital with extensive specialty support and modern resources. Bon Secours Southside Medical Center is a 300-bed acute care hospital offering advanced technology across all major specialties. The facility features Level III Trauma designation, Primary Stroke certification, STEMI receiving capabilities, multiple CT scanners, MRI, ultrasound, and extensive specialty coverage to support comprehensive emergency care. Located just outside Richmond, the hospital serves the historic Petersburg community while providing convenient access to the amenities of Central Virginia.
