Production Lead- 3rd Shift Company: Rieke LLC Primary Location: 8200 Innovation Campus Way Wes, New Albany, OH 43054 USA Employment Type: Hourly | Full-Time Function: Manufacturing Production / Distribution Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled Main Duties & Responsibilities TheProduction Lead manages and oversees all shift operations in amanner that enhances theplant’s safety, personnel engagement, costreduction, productivity,quality of the product, and equipment maintenance. Ensures a safe work environment and that all PPE isavailable and is used by all team members as appropriate for the job. Ensures team members are properly trained for the workand production targets being asked to perform/achieve. Monitors andreports the on-the-job training process for new and transferredemployees. Makes recommendations to management on employees who’veproven the aptitude to be cross-trained to maintain workforce flexibility. Voice and face of leadership and responsible forensuring all communication is conducted respectfully and with the focus ofsafety first. Confers with management and team members to resolvepersonnel issues and supports the coaching/development as necessary toachieve company targets. Communicates product quality and productivityperformance to team members so they are able to self-correct during theshift. Supports as necessary and communicates with Human Resourcesand Management on situations where corrective action is necessary Ensures Hourly/Daily production reporting is accurateand daily product quality and production goals are achieved. Works with maintenance when machine/tool/die issues negatively impact theproduction schedule. Accountable for ensuring a smooth transition betweenthe shifts and any resource issues are properly communicated to HumanResources and Management. Ensures the production schedule is completed asscheduled and reports issues negatively impacting the schedule to the Schedulerand Management as appropriate. Ensures completion of daily job orders, employeeassignment and time-off requests. Maintains a “visual workplace” – using productionboards, equipment status boards, etc. Immediately addresses and/or resolves off-schedulesituations, lost time and production targets that are off-standard. Communicates opportunities for improvement toEngineering and/or Management. Qualifications 3-5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturingenvironment required. Proven people management skills and ability to developand/or maintain a team. Excellent English verbal and written communicationskills. Computer skills (ERP, Microsoft Office Outlook, Word,Excel) Technical background in injection molding, and/or high speed assembly is highly preferred Lean or Six Sigma qualification is preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr TriMas Corporation
