Assistant Construction Manager

Construction Management Professional

We are seeking an experienced Construction Management professional to support large-scale commercial construction projects from preconstruction through project completion. This role will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily construction activities with project teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, permits, and project documentation.
  • Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Support project scheduling and monitor construction progress.
  • Conduct field walks to verify quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Assist with QA/QC inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities.
  • Coordinate with multiple internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve field issues.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Maintain project records, reports, meeting minutes, and documentation.
  • Support site safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA and project safety requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and relevant construction experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, project engineering, construction management, or project coordination.
  • Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, permitting, scheduling, and project closeout.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, building systems, and field coordination.
  • Experience using construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
