What You'll Do

• Verifies cash drawer balance at the beginning and end of shift
• Processes customer payments by ticket received from Scale Operator; pays customers by cash or check for scrap sold
• Maintains checkout operations by following DPS and Metal Recycling Entity policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
• Enters A/P Freight Invoices into database
• Assists customers with Cash Card applications
• Answers incoming calls and answers questions/transfers calls as needed. Takes messages and routes incoming calls to appropriate point of contact
• Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

• Minimum 1-2 years cashier experience
• Must have strong customer service skills and a great attitude
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously by effectively prioritizing and organizing assignments
• Ability to use 10-key and utilize a copy machine to scan, copy and fax documents
• Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• Ability to sit and stand for duration of shift, up to 8 hours

Your Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
