Data Center Technician | San Antonio, TX

Job Location: San Antonio, TX (Local travel to data center jobsites required) Job Type: Full-Time Pay Rate: $20.00 – $38.00 per hour (DOE) Job Description Are you a dependable technician who performs well in fast-paced, mission-critical environments? Flex Tech is seeking Data Center Technicians to support new construction and retrofit projects in live data center environments throughout San Antonio, TX . Our clients rely on us to deliver skilled, detail-oriented technicians who can work safely and efficiently in high-availability facilities. Whether you are an experienced data center technician or looking to continue building your skills, this role offers steady work, professional growth, and exposure to enterprise-level infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Install data center racks, cabinets, and support infrastructure Mount, rack, and stack servers and network switches Install and manage large patching systems and cable management systems Perform trunk cable installation including: Pulling Labeling Dressing Termination Terminate Cat 5 and Cat 6 cabling to servers and switches Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Work safely in live data center environments Use hand tools to complete installations accurately and efficiently Maintain clean, organized, and safety-focused worksites Required Qualifications Experience pulling and terminating Cat 5 and Cat 6 cabling in a live data center environment Familiarity with data center standards and best practices Ability to work in mission-critical environments Strong attention to detail and cable management Valid driver’s license Reliable transportation to San Antonio-area jobsites Ability to travel within the local market Must pass a drug screen and background check Commitment to safety and professionalism Preferred Qualifications Experience installing racks, cabinets, and trunk cabling Experience working with servers, switches, and patch panels Willingness to travel outside the San Antonio market (not required) Why Work With Flex Tech Competitive hourly pay based on experience Consistent project-based work Opportunities to grow into senior data center or lead technician roles Ongoing training, mentorship, and hands-on learning Projects across San Antonio and surrounding areas About Flex Tech Headquartered in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, Flex Tech, LLC provides skilled technicians for commercial electrical and low-voltage construction and retrofit projects across Texas.
