We're looking for an energetic, dependable, and organized Delivery/Runner with Administrative Support to join our team! In this dynamic role, you'll split your time between the field and the office, supporting meal deliveries, providing outstanding service to our clients, and assisting with essential administrative tasks that keep our program operating efficiently. Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary backup to the Office Administrator by providing administrative support during absences, high-volume periods, and operational needs.
• Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems for client records, route sheets, invoices, and program documentation.
• Prepare, sort, and process outgoing mail, including client correspondence, newsletters, donation letters, and invoices.
• Accurately enter and maintain confidential client information, dietary restrictions, delivery updates, and program records.
• Develop and optimize daily delivery routes using routing and mapping software.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and communicate professionally with clients, family members, vendors, and case managers.
• Assist with general administrative tasks, document preparation, and special projects as assigned.

• Spend time in the field assisting drivers with daily meal deliveries and operational support.
• Safely load and unload meals, supplies, and equipment for daily delivery routes. Verify that meals and supplies are accurate and assigned to the correct delivery routes.
• Assist drivers with navigation, route adjustments, and resolving delivery issues.
• Deliver meals to clients safely, accurately, and within scheduled delivery windows.
• Assist with meal distribution and setup at delivery locations when needed.
• Perform additional operational duties to support the daily success of delivery operations.

• Provide professional, courteous, and compassionate service during every client interaction.
• Conduct brief wellness observations during deliveries and report concerns regarding client health, safety, or living conditions.
• Build positive relationships with clients while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Respond to client questions or concerns and communicate issues to the appropriate team members.

• Receive, unpack, organize, and store incoming inventory, packaging materials, and program supplies.
• Stage meal trays, delivery supplies, and equipment for daily distribution.
• Monitor inventory levels and report supply shortages to management.
• Maintain organized warehouse storage areas and assist with inventory control.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and meal handling procedures.
• Maintain proper temperatures for hot and cold meals throughout transportation and delivery.
• Ensure food quality and product integrity from warehouse loading through final client delivery.
• Comply with all food safety regulations and organizational policies.

• Follow all company safety policies, client confidentiality requirements, and delivery procedures.
• Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and company policies.
• Adhere to GPS tracking, vehicle usage, and emergency response procedures.
• Report accidents, incidents, or safety concerns promptly.

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles, warehouse areas, loading docks, and storage spaces.
• Sweep floors, remove trash, dispose of empty boxes, and clean storage racks.
• Ensure delivery equipment, carts, and supplies are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained.

• Maintain regular communication with drivers, dispatch, office staff, and management.
• Report delivery discrepancies, client concerns, damaged products, or operational issues to the Director of Dispatch and Delivery Operations.
• Complete delivery documentation and administrative records accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support the overall success of the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in delivery, logistics, or a related field preferred
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Highly organized, dependable, and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
• Strong organizational skills with a proven track record in filing systems and managing high volumes of office paperwork/mail

Location: Bruckner Building, 2417 3rd Avenue, Bronx, NY 10451

Schedule: Full-time, On-Site

Base Pay: $19.00/hour (Delivery/Runner); $20.00/hour (Administrative Support)
