Certified Pharmacy Tech - Travel Job

We're hiring an experienced pharmacy technician for a contract role supporting inpatient pharmacy operations at a hospital in Boston, MA. In this position you will support medication distribution, inventory management, automated dispensing cabinet workflows, and central pharmacy activities that ensure timely medication delivery and safe patient care. • Massachusetts pharmacy technician license (required).
• National Certified Pharmacy Technician credential (CPhT or ExCPT) (required).
• BLS certification (required).
• Minimum 2 years inpatient pharmacy technician experience (required).
• Experience with Pyxis automated dispensing systems and EPIC preferred.
• Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT-Adv) is a valuable asset (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3-4 years inpatient pharmacy experience working with Pyxis and EPIC (preferred).

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 07:00-15:00.
• Schedule: five 8-hour shifts per week.
• May include evening shift coverage rotation as described by facility (AM/PM rotation noted in job description).
• May include every other weekend coverage.

Impacting Patient Care

The pharmacy technician supports inpatient pharmacy operations by transporting and delivering medications, maintaining medication rooms and automated dispensing systems, assisting with carousel and central pharmacy workflows, and supporting inventory management activities. The role requires adherence to hospital policies, USP standards, and medication safety procedures while communicating with pharmacy leadership about workflow and staffing needs. Location Highlights
