Reporting to the Deputy Chief of Operations, you will set the tone for nursing practice across the organization, building a culture of excellence, accountability, and compassionate care at every site.Responsibilities include:Provide strategic and operational oversight of nursing operations across multiple SCADD sites in New London, Norwich, and Lebanon, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality care in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory mandatesSupport the effective fiscal management of nursing operations and ensure the proper utilization of organizational resources across all locationsMaintain responsibility for patient records, Department of Mental Health and Addictions Services reports, facility logs, and other required reportingOversee the pre-certification process and conduct utilization reviews with third-party payersEnsure accurate and timely input of clinical data by nursing staffOversee the orientation, supervision, and professional development of nursing staff, detoxification technicians, interns, and other staff across all sitesProvide explanation of patient care, test procedures, and care philosophy to clients and families as neededInteract with the Chief Medical Officer as necessary to align clinical priorities and standardsEvaluate nursing activities across all units to ensure quality patient care, positive staff relations, and efficiency of serviceOversee the ordering of medications, solutions, equipment, and medical supplies for all unitsCarry out full supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, performance appraisal, and employee relationsParticipate in committee and team meetings across sites as applicableParticipate in the orientation of new employees and the transfer of knowledge necessary for the performance of dutiesWhat You'll Need:Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing required; Master's degree or advanced nursing degree preferredCurrent State of Connecticut Department of Public Health Registered Nurse (RN) License requiredCurrent CPR Certification requiredMinimum of five years' experience, including progressive management/leadership equivalent combination of education and experience consideredDemonstrated ability to manage nursing operations, staffing, and regulatory compliance across multiple locations in a fast-paced clinical environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with clinical staff, program directors, the Chief Medical Officer, clients, and familiesProven ability to lead, develop, and inspire a multidisciplinary nursing team across geographically distributed sitesCommitment to SCADD's values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practiceWhy SCADD?Since 1966, SCADD has remained at the forefront of substance use disorder treatment, continuously evolving to meet the needs of individuals, families, and communities across Southeastern Connecticut.
