RN Clinical Director, Home Care

Right at Home North Richmond

Own the clinical function from day one

Right at Home North Richmond is a licensed home care agency serving Henrico County. We are hiring our first Registered Nurse, and this is not a staff nursing job. You will own the clinical function: every assessment, every plan of care, every supervisory visit, and every clinical standard this agency operates under.

You report directly to ownership. There is no layer between you and the decision.

What you will actually do

• Conduct initial in-home client assessments and write the plan of care

• Perform supervisory visits and caregiver competency evaluations in the home

• Coach and train caregivers on client-specific needs and safe technique

• Take clinical escalations from caregivers and decide the next step

• Hold the line on scope of practice with families, clearly and kindly

• Own clinical documentation and keep records survey-ready under Virginia OLC regulations

• Set the clinical policies this agency runs on

Schedule and pay

• Based on experience

• 15 to 25 hours per week, with room to grow into full-time

• Daytime hours that you help set. This role suits an RN who wants clinical ownership without a 12-hour floor shift

• Paid travel time between clients and paid mileage

• W-2 employee, not 1099

Territory

Henrico West End, Glen Allen/Short Pump, Richmond City, Hanover, King William.

You will travel across our service area: Glen Allen, Short Pump, Innsbrook, Lakeside, and Tuckahoe, out to Varina and Highland Springs. Our office is in Richmond's West End.

What you need

• Active Virginia RN license, or a multistate compact license carrying Virginia privilege

• Two or more years of RN experience. Home health, hospice, or home care preferred

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• Valid driver's license and a reliable, insured vehicle available during the workday

• Comfortable working independently in clients' homes

Why this role is different

Most home care RN jobs hand you a caseload and a documentation queue. This one hands you the clinical function. If you have ever looked at how an agency runs its assessments or supervises its caregivers and thought you would do it differently, this is the job where you get to.

We are building this deliberately, and we are looking for one clinician to build it with us.
