Job Number: 180279, Job Title: Sup Security Officer II, Salary: $21.00 - $21.00 Job Summary Responsible for patrolling, protecting, and securing all Harris Health System's buildings and grounds, promoting safety and security at all locations. Responds to all crisis intervention team activations, prevents patient elopements, and assists medical staff with restraint of patients as requested. Minimum Qualifications School Education: High School Diploma or GED. Licenses & Certifications: IAHSS Basic Security Officer Training Program completed within six months of employment. Valid Texas Driver's License. Basic Life Support from a hospital-based AHA program. Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression (SAMA) certification or equivalent certification required within 30 days; if another certification held, recertify as SAMA upon expiration. Registered by the Texas Private Security Bureau within 90 days of employment. Work Experience: One (1) year experience in security, criminal justice, military, healthcare, or related experience; or a combination of the above. Communication Skills: Above average verbal (heavy public contract) and writing/reports. Proficiencies: MS Word, PC, typing 20 WPM. Job Attributes Work Schedule: Weekends, holidays, flexible, overtime. Other Requirements: E-1 availability during disaster situations; must understand and communicate English effectively; proficiency in computers required.
