RNs must be prepared to float frequently to meet the staffing needs of the hospital Stepdown Critical Care SDCC is a 12-bed unit in the Critical Care Division that provides care to patients that need a level of care in between the intensive care units and the progressive care units. The Critical Care Intensivist and the nursing staff collaborate to provide extraordinary care to each of the patients and family members on the unit. Our priority is to ensure safety to all patients. Our patients include, but are not limited to, traumas, surgery, transplants, lung disorders and ventilated patients. Ratios are 1:3-4 on days/nights. Certs REQ: Active AHA BLS, ACLS (CCRN, NIH strongly preferred)2 years of prior experience required (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital)Drips are required on all floorsEPIC charting experience requiredFirst timers NOT accepted (will consider if the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level l Academic Medical Center)Will float within scope to meet facility needs (this includes potentially floating to Bellevue campus). Units may include, but are not limited to 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, SOTU.In addition to CNAs, care teams include care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics. LPNs are assigned on some, but not all, floors.100% NICOTINE FREE FACILITYWeekends: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in an 4-week period. Days: Saturday and Sunday. Nights: Friday night and Saturday night.RTO restrictions: Up to two weeks of RTO permitted. RTO must be submitted with application. Additional requests after confirmation at manager discretion.
