If you take pride in creating clean, safe, and welcoming spaces and have floor care experience, we'd love to hear from you.Located on a beautiful 15-acre wooded campus just outside Washington, D.C., the IAFF Center of Excellence provides specialized behavioral health and substance abuse treatment exclusively for members of the fire service community. Our facility was thoughtfully designed to promote healing, comfort, and recovery for first responders facing PTSD, addiction, depression, anxiety, and other behavioral health challenges.You'll work alongside compassionate professionals in a supportive environment where your contributions directly impact patient care and the overall experience of those seeking help.The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and sanitation of the facility, with a strong focus on floor care and environmental services. This position helps ensure patients, visitors, and staff experience a safe and comfortable environment throughout the campus.Core Responsibilities:Perform routine cleaning duties in assigned areas according to established schedules and proceduresScrub, strip, buff, and refinish hard surface floors to maintain a polished appearanceShampoo carpets and remove stains as neededOperate commercial cleaning equipment including vacuums, mops, buffers, and other housekeeping toolsMaintain linen inventory and distribute supplies throughout the facilityAssist with setup and breakdown for special events and functionsMove and arrange furniture as neededRespond to emergency spills and cleaning needs promptlyMaintain clean and organized work areas and equipmentIdentify maintenance or repair needs and report concerns to leadershipCommunicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members and facility leadershipMaintain professional appearance, hygiene, and dress code standardsAdapt to changing priorities and assignments in a fast-paced healthcare environmentPerform additional duties as assigned
