Yard Supervisor

Position Recycling Yard Supervisor Reports to Recycling Operations Manager Location Staten Island, NY Hours Nights with flexible days FLSA Salaried, Exempt Salary Range $65k-$70k Incentive Pay Monthly and Quarterly averages up to 20% above base salary. Overview Recycling Division; hands‑on Yard Supervisor overseeing safe and efficient transfer of material within a mill/recycling complex, including truck unloading, quality control, and inventory management. Requirements High school diploma or GED Excellent communication skills Previous supervisory experience Ability to work nights and flexible days Preferences Operators experience (e.g., forklift, crane, payloader, roll‑off) and mobile equipment license is a plus. Equipment maintenance experience also a plus. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or graphic form; handle problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations. Registrations May be required to maintain current Lift Truck Operator License and/or other appropriate certifications for certain areas or equipment. Physical Demands Stand, walk, talk or hear; use hands to handle, reach; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; occasionally sit; lift up to 20 lbs.
