Asset Manager, Fuel Cells and LDESThe Asset Manager, Fuel Cells and LDES sits within the Energy team and supports the lifecycle management of Equinix's onsite and co-sited power generation portfolio, including fuel cells, Long Duration Energy Storage and other distributed generation assets. This role serves as the primary vendor contact and coordinates across Global Design & Construction (GDC), Operations, Energy, Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure vendors are meeting contractual obligations and that the generating units are operating effectively in parallel to the grid or islanded.The role will be technical in nature given oversight from installation through operations, but the ideal candidate will have a strong commercial background with deep vendor and contract management experience.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary interface with the vendor during installation, commissioning, and operations for onsite, co-sited, or aggregated DR resourcesCoordinate across Global Design & Construction (GDC), Operations, Energy, Legal and Finance to ensure delivery milestones are met and contractual obligations are being achievedSupport the review and execution of required agreements and/or amendments (e.g., change orders, financing agreements) in alignment with internal governanceTrack and report on the actual operational and financial performance of the units vs budgetCoordinate with Energy Structuring and Origination on new opportunitiesBuild out our in-house operational best practices for onsite, distributed, and co-sited generation facilitiesQualificationsRequired5–7 years of experience in energy infrastructure, power generation, asset management, or related fieldsDeep knowledge of fuel cells, reciprocating engines, battery storage, and other generation technologiesSuccessful track record managing, tracking and enforcing vendor obligations, milestones, deliverables, and change controls in partnership with Legal/ProcurementProven ability to serve as a primary point of contact and coordinate across engineering, construction, operations, and external vendorsStrong organizational, documentation, and communication skillsPreferredExperience in data centers, industrial facilities, or other mission-critical environmentsFamiliarity with EPC, equipment supply, or long-term service agreements and associated change control processesThe targeted pay range for this position in the following locations is:United States - Seattle Office SES: 130,000 - 194,000 USD / AnnualUnited States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI: 118,000 - 176,000 USD / AnnualUnited States - Redwood City Office GHQ: 142,000 - 212,000 USD / AnnualUnited States - Chicago Office CHO: 130,000 - 194,000 USD / AnnualUnited States - LA1 Los Angeles: 130,000 - 194,000 USD / AnnualUnited States - BO1 Boston: 130,000 - 194,000 USD / AnnualUnited States - New York City Office NYO1: 130,000 - 194,000 USD / AnnualOur pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.
