Position Title: Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (APRN)

Location: 9181 Interline Ave, Baton Rouge, LA

Duration: September 1, 2025 - August 31, 2026 (with four 1-year option periods)

Work Schedule: Days and Shift timings

Pay rate : Up to 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST. Limited on-call duties (up to 10 hours annually). Federal holidays observed.



Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with Hansen's disease and other acute/chronic conditions.
• Conduct physical exams, diagnostic evaluations, and develop treatment protocols for complex medical and dermatologic conditions.
• Perform minor surgical procedures (biopsies, wound care, I&D, skin smears).
• Participate in research studies, patient management conferences, and special case evaluations.
• Provide patient education, case management, and preventive care services.
• Collaborate with physicians, researchers, and interdisciplinary staff on clinical and investigational cases.
• Deliver training and instruction to medical students, interns, residents, and other healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with federal laws (FOIA, Privacy Act, HIPAA).
• dhere to HRSA security, confidentiality, and records management requirements.
• Provide limited after-hours on-call consultation as needed.

• Required Qualifications
• Current dvanced Practice Provider (APP) license and Registered Nurse license in at least one U.S. state or territory.
• ctive Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience as an APRN, preferably in infectious diseases, dermatology, or chronic disease management.
• Strong skills in diagnostic evaluation, minor procedures, and patient education.
• bility to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass federal background investigation (Public Trust/Moderate).
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with infectious diseases, dermatology, or correctional/public health settings.
• Experience in teaching or mentoring healthcare trainees.
• Familiarity with federal healthcare programs and research protocols.
