Using strong clinical judgment and the nursing process, you will assess patient needs, monitor recovery, respond to changing conditions, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and exceptional patient outcomes.This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy balancing technical expertise with meaningful patient interaction.What You'll DoDeliver individualized nursing care during pre-operative and post-operative recoveryAssess, monitor, and interpret patient conditions and recovery progressProvide patient education and discharge instructionsAdminister medications and interventions as appropriateCollaborate closely with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teamsRespond effectively to changes in patient conditionMaintain accurate documentation and support quality patient outcomesQualificationsEducationGraduate of an accredited School of Professional NursingLicensure & CertificationsRequired:Current Illinois Registered Nurse licenseCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or American Red CrossAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)Required Within 3 Months of Hire:Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)ExperienceRequired:Minimum of two years of medical-surgical nursing experiencePreferred:One to two years of critical care nursing experienceSchedule & LocationPosition: Registered Nurse - PACUDepartment: Surgical ServicesStatus: Full-TimeSchedule: Monday-Friday | 8-Hour Shifts + On-CallEdwardsville Ambulatory Surgery Center12 Ginger Creek ParkwayGlen Carbon, IL 62034Compensation$32.00-$50.00 per hourCompensation is determined based on education, experience, certifications, and relevant skills.
