Material Handling Specialist

Warehouse Associate

Move material from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas

Sort and place material on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, or product code

Restock material in assigned location; or fill requistios for material and distribute items to designated delivery trucks

Stack or assemble material into bundles and band bundles together; package orders for shipping, pick up or truck delivery

Measure, cut, and package material

Complete material movement paperwork

Open boxes, crates, and other containers

Examine stock for deterioration and defects, and report findings

Assist in counting of physical inventory

Inspect Raymond fork-lift daily for damages and report findings

Load and operate Raymond fork-lifts; load trucks for next day deliveries

Keep warehouse and work area organized at all times

Comply with Company and OSHA policies; participate in safety and accident preventative meetings

Wear safety equipment at all times

Perform facilities maintenance duties as needed

Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Must be able to lift and carry heavy material up to 75 lbs

This job requires: climb, crawl, and stoop to reach material; to reach overhead, above the shoulders or horizontally; bend at waist, kneel or crouch for extended periods of time

Must know how to read a measure tape and have basic math skills

Must have experience with hand tools including: Drills, Hammer, Saws

Must have at least 2 yrs experience warehouse or assembly

Must pass Criminal background check and Drug screen
