Make a positive difference in the lives of students across a variety of grade levels as a School Psychologist in a supportive educational setting. This contract position offers the rewarding opportunity to work with children from early childhood through high school, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You will collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to develop strategies that foster student success in inclusive and engaging environments.
Your expertise will touch every stage of childhood, supporting students in Pre-School, Elementary (K-5), Middle (6-8), and High School (9-12) classrooms. Adapt your skills to a diverse range of developmental needs while building meaningful relationships with students and staff alike.
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification, or eligibility for certification.
- Experience with children and adolescents spanning pre-school age through secondary levels.
- Strong understanding of educational interventions, behavioral supports, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work across diverse backgrounds and with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans in partnership with teachers and families.
- Participate in IEP/504 meetings, contribute to eligibility determinations, and help design individualized education plans.
- Offer crisis intervention and counseling as needed.
- Serve as a resource for staff regarding best practices in student wellness and mental health.
