The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, displays a positive attitude and has great attention to detail. Tasks and Responsibilities Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting customers and conducting transactions Operates registers, scanners, credit card/debit card terminals and fuel consoles safely and efficiently Performs basic math functions to collect payments and make change Promotes a positive team environment Performs light paperwork duties as assigned Maintains a professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the employee handbook Maintains a well‑organized, stocked, safe and clean work environment Promotes the rewards program as well as approved merchandise or marketing programs Follows company policies as well as industry, sanitation and safe food handling procedures Completes all other store tasks and activities assigned by Management Prerequisites Education: Some high school or equivalent Experience & Skills: Prior cash handling experience preferred but not required Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction Physical: Must be able to work any area of the store when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally Background check required (part‑time) Deli Clerk/Cashier The Deli Clerk/Cashier greets customers, prepares product, maintains food safety and sanitation standards.
