This is a full-time role with expectation that minimum of 4 days per week are in-person in office, up to one day per week remote.This role will be integral to supporting SOCOTEC’s specialized Buildings & Real Estate practice, with a specific focus on:Developing proposals for private and public-sector clientsStrengthening SOCOTEC’s relationships in the marketplace with high-quality proposals and collateral that represent our sophisticated technical expertiseServing as an in-office resource for multiple service line leadersJob DescriptionThe Proposal Writer will develop and coordinate proposals and estimates under the direction of the Proposal Manager. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual that works well independently and can coordinate multiple proposals through day-to-day interaction with clients and technical team leaders. As a Proposal Writer you will be integral to SOCOTEC’s success, providing a first point of interaction with our clients and defining the services they need.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Participate in daily team scrum to review proposal priorities and progress.Review assigned proposal requests, assess proposal requirements and identify appropriate team leaders that will provide input on proposal scope and fees.Develop technical proposals based on existing proposal templates, and corresponding estimates for level of effort and fees.Conduct research, gather information, and attend meetings with service line leaders to ensure proposals reflect SOCOTEC’s expertise and competitive advantages.Review proposals and estimates with technical team leaders; update according to their input and ensure compliance with client requirements.Collaborate with internal Legal and Finance teams as necessary to produce complete proposal packages.Collaborate with fellow proposal writers, review proposal language for clarity, accuracy, grammar and spelling.Contact clients/prospects to obtain any additional information needed to develop the proposal and confirm proposal receipt.Collect, enter and maintain client and project data in our CRM platform (Deltek).Coordinate with the Proposal Team Manager to refine templates, narratives, and graphics based on client needs and regional feedback.QualificationsBachelor’s degree is required.1 to 2 years of experience in proposal writing and estimating, with experience working at an architecture, engineering, marketing or consulting firm is desirable.Exceptional analytical, creative problem solving and written communication skills.Maintain composure and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines while managing multiple proposals simultaneously.Strong organizational skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Familiar with Microsoft Copilot and Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe InDesign).Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is desirable.Additional InformationFor more information, please visit Type: Full-Time, 4 days a week in office with one hybrid/ remote dayAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.SOCOTEC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.SummaryType: Full-timeFunction: OtherExperience level: DirectorIndustry: Writing And Editing
